A wide variety of chemicals are required for the manufacture of semiconductors, some of which are hazardous substances. Infineon responsibly manages the handling of hazardous substances in order to safeguard human health and environmental protection.
As part of Infineon’s IMPRES policy, priority is given to supply chain responsibility, with the procurement of new environmentally friendly materials in the manufacture of products as a guideline.
Compliance with all currently applicable legal regulations is a matter of course for Infineon. For example, all Infineon products meet the criteria for articles in accordance with the REACH regulation. For this reason, Infineon is not required to register the substances contained in its products. Likewise, Infineon’s products comply with the requirements of the ROHS declaration, and comply with the material restrictions of all applicable legal regulations, including those applicable in countries outside of Europe.
